EHS Lead to Coherent

About the Role
As the EHS Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards while fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.
You will also lead our ISO 14001: 2015 work, and together with Head of Quality, support the management systems 9001/14001, since its effective to coordinate Quality and Environmental activities in the same way.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining ISO systems (9001 and 14001), ensuring adherence to certification requirements.
Monitoring and verifying corrective actions related to ISO standards and EHS protocols.
KPI reporting in line with global Quality and EHS requirements.
Providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with legal, corporate, and regulatory demands.
Leading initiatives in emergency preparedness and obtaining permits for environmentally hazardous activities.
Partnering with cross-functional teams to establish robust management systems and drive continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
We are searching for a results-driven professional who brings expertise and enthusiasm to the role. The ideal candidate has:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental/Quality Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Significant experience in high-risk manufacturing environments, with a preference for backgrounds in the chemical industry.
Proficiency in Swedish occupational safety regulations and ISO 9001:2015/14001:2015.
Proven leadership in establishing and managing EHS programs and systems.
Experience conducting internal audits and leading EHS-related training sessions.
Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Expertise in optoelectronics manufacturing.
Documented success in implementing EHS strategies and obtaining environmental permits.
