Development Manager, AI Solutions

We are looking to hire two service development-oriented AI/ML experts as Development Managers to join our AI Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and prioritizing AI projects, contributing to AI strategy, and ensuring ethical AI usage to support Fortum’s business goals. Additionally, you will champion cultural change towards an AI-driven organization and oversee the complete lifecycle of AI solution development from ideation to development and implementation.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for backlog generation and prioritization of AI projects and act as the first point of contact for AI use cases.
• Contribute to AI strategy and vision within your area of responsibility, supporting Fortum’s business strategy and defining a roadmap for the future.
• Act as a project manager for AI projects to design, develop, and implement them.
• Ensure successful process re-engineering, change management, and benefits realization for your AI projects.
• Be accountable for driving ethical and responsible usage of AI.

To excel in this role, you could have:

• A University degree in any of the STEM disciplines with a strong background and focus on computer science, data science, AI, or a related field.
• Worked with Service Design frameworks or have a management consultant background specializing in AI/ML development projects
• Vision for how different AI models (e.g., supervised, unsupervised ML models, and generative AI models) can be applied to solve operational problems and elevate customer experience.
• Knowledge about ethical considerations and best practices for responsible AI usage.
• Expertise about the complete lifecycle of AI solution development, including data integration, data warehousing, and AI model development.
• Ability to effectively visualize and communicate business and technical visions.
• Strong interest in studying and learning more about the rapidly developing AI landscape.
