Our Business Area (BA) Markets is looking for the right person to fill the position as
Business Controller
for our office in Hamburg.
Your key responsibilities:
- Monthly financial reporting and forecasting, with main focus on OPEX
- Operate on the interface towards the HR function and take responsibility for staffing cost reporting and forecasting
- Participate in target setting process as well as financial and performance follow up
- Provide ad-hoc analyses and other controlling tasks
- Proactively develop and improve controlling processes with regards to analysis, processes, IT tools and models, KPIs etc. Contribute to reporting automation.
- Constantly question established solutions and initiate process improvements and streamlining of operational work
Ihr Profil
Your profile:
We are looking for a person with a Master in Economics, Business Administration or similar qualifications with the following main characteristics:
- At least 2-3 years of controlling or related experience
- Strong analytical skills and fast learner
- Self-organized and respecting deadlines
- Eagerness to learn and develop as a person
- Team player with the ability to work also in virtual teams across locations
- Ease in building and fostering own networks and paying attention to stakeholder management
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
- Experienced in Accounting standards (IFRS) and SAP knowledge
- Technical competence in handling of large data sets including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI/PowerQuery is a strong merit

We serve as Vattenfall’s single access to energy commodity markets and trade electricity, emissions, fuels, freight, and renewable certificates. Main responsibilities for the Controlling function within Business Area Markets are financial reporting and performance monitoring as well as business planning and target setting.
